Our company policy on trading fairly includes our relationships with manufacturers, employees and customers, our transparent prices, our guarantees and our concern for the environment.

Ethical Trade

We are very proud of our Ethical Junction Badge, which recognises our efforts to trade fairly.

We have a long standing relationship with our manufacturers and regularly visit the source of our products to maintain control over designs and the way they are made.
The craft of cabinet making is a skill which is in high demand, and as such the pay is comparatively high. We are happy with the working environment and work ethics provided by our manufacturers.

As part of our ethical trade guidelines we aim to:

*Check for fair wages and working conditions
*Be mindful of environmental issues
*Support craftsperson-made items that nurture traditional ways of life

We never knowingly supply products that are not ethically traded.

High Quality Furniture

We are certified by the Furniture Ombudsmen for our high quality furniture, excellent customer service and experienced delivery team. We take great pride in our knowledge of the furniture we sell and our control over the way our furniture is made.

We are so confident with the quality of our furniture that we offer a 10 year guarantee on every single item, you can't trade any fairer than that!

Environment

Our Green Achiever Badge is recogition of our effort to reduce the impact our business has on the environment, in the following ways:
* Recycling all warehouse / food / office waste
* Encouraging staff to cycle to work by making them aware of the bike to work scheme
* We have recently paired with the British Heart Foundation to promote their recycling service. The British Heart Foundation will collect any unwanted furniture free of charge, the process is simple. Just fill in this form to arrange a convenient time.
* We support the Green Preference Service a scheme which allows you to choose what mail you want to receive via post and which you would prefer to read online - every item of mail converted from physical to digital saves at least 19g of CO2.

Training

We ensure that all of our staff have full training in the area of work we expect them to undertake. We know that fully trained staff and good working conditions ensure that everyone at World Furniture cares about the role they do and ultimately cares about the furniture you receive.

Transparent pricing

All of our prices include VAT and we are transparent about delivery costs, meaning there are no hidden prices at the checkout stage. Our kitchen range is supply only, there are no expensive showrooms, designers or fitters - you get a solid hardwood kitchen with no hidden costs.
